Israel:
The name Israel evokes much emotions for many. For some it is the land God gave to HIS chosen people the Jews. Israel has had many enemies over the years and thousands of civilians have been killed by Israel enemy who they admitted want to eliminate God's people the Jews.
God made a promise to countries and people who bless HIS people and the land God gave to HIS people. A blessing to those who bless Israel. Should that not give us a direction to support Israel because God wants us to. Do we want to please God?
